With Bakestone, Master Cakebread has created the sorcerer’s apprentice. Qualitywise, the second label Chardonnay gets very close to Cakebread’s Reserve Chardonnay. The acidity reminds to a top Burgundian White. The ratio between fruit-body is completely balanced. Only 48% of the wine undergoes the malolactic fermentation, therefore, a nice summerlike acidity remains.
