Finger Lakes, NY

Several fingershaped lakes gave name to the region. The majority of the vines can be found between the lakes of Cayuga, Keuka and Seneca. About 50% of the production emanetes from native American grapes (Vitis Labrusca, not Vitis Vinifera) or American-European hybrids. The other half of the production is mainly Riesling, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. Besides the Finger Lakes NY has a second appellation, Long Island.
