Charly's Blog:

Your palate will be enchanted by the deep and warm fruit. Tannins remind with their mild-ness to a well aged wine. A solitaire, you can not compare to other varietal wines. Carignane comes originally from Aragonia where it is callled Mazuelo. This varietal was widely planted in the 18th century. By acerage it is still No. 6 of the red varietals. The over 100 year old vines grow in the Oakley vineyard which has deep, sandy soils washed ashore by the the San Joaquin River.
