Charly's Blog:

Grapevines are called Old Vines when they have reached at least an age of 50 years. This Zin comes from the Dry Creek Valley. Many of the vines there are even 100 years old. Due to many years of so called head pruning the vines today look more like small trees. Irrigation is not applied as roots go down very deep. The vines do not produce a lot and therefore, the fruit is very concentrated. A must have wine.
