In the Santa Rita Hills, Piere Lafond, the founder of Santa Barbara Winery has found a perfect location for Pinot Noir. In the cooler climate, the PN feels extremly good. The wine preserves the typicity but shows a bit more backbone without risking the filigrane varietal character. Many Swiss do not like PN untill they try this one.
